Our Services

Our Mission

Our goal for our clients is to help them develop their own space – a sort of mental oasis that they have constructed with nature. We want our clients to step outside their homes and be amazed at what they have created – somewhere to relax, unwind, and even share with their family and friends.

Central to our mission is the concept of home. We’ve always thought a home was equivalent to a house, but we soon discovered that home is about where were most comfortable. We want our clients to consider their garden as an extension of their home— a place they can connect back with nature, and feed their mind, body, and soul.

We are fortunate in Texas to be blessed with bountiful, lush lands in our own front and backyard. We want people to take advantage of that space and develop it into an eco-friendly space that will ultimately contribute to the environment positively.

Help give back to the State of Texas, through food security efforts, preserving native populations, and mitigate water use for future generations to come.

Zen Gardening

  • Zen gardening is mindfulness in gardening. When we garden, we take our mind away from our busy chaotic stressful life and focus on producing life. By taking a step out of our daily activities, we can calm the mind and recharge our mental space.

Being out in the garden, we are able to feel the breeze, touch the soil and the leaves, observe the flowers, and smell the different scents from the flowers. All these actions help us to be present in the moment, and centering our minds away chaotic thoughts. When we are free from anxiety and stress, we can peacefully reflect. And in our moments of reflection, we come back to our senses, with a greater appreciation of our physical surroundings, a better understanding of how our mind works, and learning what it means to be present and non-judgmental to ourselves. Life can be chaotic at times, and gardening provides a space away from that.

Organic Vegetable Gardening

  • Organic vegetable gardening decreases the likelihood of topsoil loss, toxic runoff, water pollution, soil contamination, soil poisoning and death of insects, birds, and other beneficial soil organisms. It also eliminates pesticide, herbicide, and fungicide residues on food. Holistic gardening harkens back to our ancestors and how they gardened before the industrial revolution.

We believe that holistic gardening is important because it creates a natural eco-system, using natural methods, where species are dependent among each other, and it is more adapted to the local climate.

Soil Restoration

  • Soil restoration is crucial, because ultimately, what is in our soil determines what we can and can’t grow in it. There is life in the soil, and due to years of unsustainable garden practices we can lose these organisms, such as bacteria, fungi, bugs, and all the tiny decomposers that support healthy vegetation growth.

Through our soil restoration services, we provide the soil a healthy growth environment in order for the micro-organisms to thrive, in turn giving nutrient dense produce, and a healthy environment for vegetation.

Native Plant Landscaping

  • When landscaping became popular in the early days, the goal was to create beautiful lawns. Somewhere along the way, visually appealing foreign species were introduced and became high in demand. Driving around Texas, one can see that many lawns have plants that come from different parts of the world. However, this has created habitat loss for our native species, and increased our demand for water use.

The average American home uses about 70% of potable water for irrigation. Which essentially means most of the state’s water goes to keepings plants alive that aren’t suited to our environment. Native Plants offer a solution to that, as they have adapted to the Texas climate for generations, and can withstand the harshest droughts, and freezing temperatures.

By planting native plants, water requirements and maintenance are reduced. Native plants help create a diverse ecosystem making it more resilient to the natural disasters. Be part of the movement of restoring and preserving our native species for a greener future.
